High Speed ADSL2+ Plans

The next generation of broadband, our ADSL2+ services are capable of download speeds far beyond what was possible with standard ADSL.

Not only are they capable of faster speeds, but they are also more cost effective, making these services the best choice if they are available to you.

All the plans offer the same possible speeds – simply choose the plan that best suits your download quota – or your budget.

Setup and Transfer Options

New Connection:
If you need to order a brand new ADSL2+ connection the setup fee is $149

Single Service Transfer(SST):
If you transfer from another ISP that supports SST(click here to check) the setup fee is $99

Contract Period:
The standard contract period for all services is 6 months

No-Contract Option:
During signup you can elect to pay a no-contract fee of $50 and the standard contract period will be reduced to 0 months.

Off-Peak Period

All aaNet plans(excluding the 'BigBanana') include a single download quota, allowing you to perform your downloads at any-time. Should your downloads be performed during the off-peak period, aaNet will only count half of whatever is downloaded.

For example, if you were to perform 6Gb of downloads during the off-peak period, aaNet would only count it as 3Gb toward your download quota.

The off-peak period is a great way to download more data without exceeding your download limit.

ADSL2+ Speeds

The speed of the ADSL2+ plans is variable, and is dependant on your individual line conditions and equipment used. Theoretical speeds using ADSL2+ compatible equipment on the network range anywhere up to 24,000 kbit/sec however various factors will limit individual customer speeds, such as length of the physical telephone line, quality of the line, types of modems and equipment used, and ability of the internet source to supply data at sustained speeds.

Around 70% of customers tested are able to connect into our network at speeds in excess of 8 Mbits.

Additional Information relating to the provision of services

All prices include GST.

Data is charged only one way, either uploads or downloads, whichever is the greater.

Excess charges quoted are per GB, however excess usage is calculated per MB on a pro-rata basis.

Payment is via credit card only (MasterCard, or Visa).

If the service is under contract a maximum early termination fee of $100 applies for customers who leave before their contract has elapsed. There is an option during signup to have a no-contract option at a fee allowing cancellation at anytime without an early termination fee.
