Setup and Transfer Options

• Connection Costs: The cost to connect to aaNet is $0 on a 24 month term
• No-Contract Option: You can choose the no contract option if you pay a connection fee of $69.

ADSL2+ and 8Mbit Line Speeds

The speed of the ADSL2+ and 8Mbit plans is variable, and is dependent on your individual line conditions and equipment used. Theoretical speeds using ADSL2+ compatible equipment on the network range anywhere up to 24,000 kbit/sec on ADSL2+ Plans, and 8,000 kbit/sec on 8Mbit Plans, however, various factors will limit individual customer speeds such as length of the physical telephone line, quality of the line, types of modems and equipment used and ability of the Internet source to supply data at sustained speeds.

Around 70% of ADSL2+ customers tested are able to connect into our network at speeds in excess of 8 Mbits.
Around 70% of 8Mbit customers tested are able to connect into our network at speeds in excess of 6 Mbits.

Additional Information relating to the provision of services

• All prices include GST.
• aaNet's ADSL2+ quota is defined as data both uploaded and downloaded in a given usage period.
• Excess usage is $10 per GB on Metro and Regional 10GB Plans. All other Metro/Regional plans bill at $1 per Gigabyte. BBNext plans bill at $3 per GB. All excess is calculated per megabyte (ie: divide by 1000)
• Preferred payment is via credit card (MasterCard or Visa). A $1.25 Credit Card Payment Processing Fee is levied monthly, per account.
• Direct Debit is also available, but not preferred - details on using direct debit.
• If the service is under contract a maximum early termination fee of $200 applies for customers who leave before their contract has elapsed.

• No "paper" invoices are supplied to customers - online copies are made available in the members section on the website.
